Wineries for climate Protection
Vineyard organic farming
Thirty per cent of all our vineyards are already organic, and our medium-term goal is to be almost 100 per cent organic. We have the utmost respect for each of our plots, and as our oenologist always says, a good wine begins in the vineyard.
Rainwater pond
We have built a reservoir to be able to store up to 6,000,000 litres of rainwater. It is so highly valued at Diez Siglos that we do not waste a single drop and use it for our vineyards and winery work.
430 Photovoltaic panels
Another very important pillar is energy. We have covered the entire roof of the production facility to be self-sufficient, and we use all the energy provided by the sun in the winery.
Innovative SME R+D+i
125.000€ invested over 4 years
The ambitious R&D&I project called ‘Diez Siglos – Sustainable processes for wine production’. The aim of this project is to develop a process to quantify, qualify and substantially improve the aromatic potential of white wines made from the Verdejo grape variety with D.O.
The ongoing research work was carried out during 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 with a budget of €125,000, certified by an independent auditing firm.
Integrated Waste Management.
All waste generated in our production process is processed and recycled 100%.
100% Vegan
We do not exclude any group; in 2018, we became certified as a 100% vegan winery. All the products we use for clarifying the musts are plant-based; in our case, we use pea and potato protein. Look for the vegan seal on all our bottles.
