Diez Siglos’ interest does not end with the production of vibrant Verdejo wines. In 2017, we ventured into the production of a crianza red wine from one of Spain’s most important designations of origin, Ribera de Duero.
Diez Siglos Ribera is made with grapes from the heart of the Ribera del Duero region, Pesquera de Duero. This vintage is marked by low to average rainfall and a hot summer, resulting in low yields in the vineyard.
After selecting Tempranillo grapes from low-yield vineyards, Diez Siglos Ribera is characterised by a long maceration of the grapes to achieve a wine with great structure and complexity. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels until February, when it is released onto the market for its well-deserved rest in the bottle.
