The signature wine that is born from the sun, time and memory.

Discover our first Diez Siglos solera wine, born in La Coma Alta. 12 months of oxidative ageing in demijohns in the sun + 24 months of ageing in French oak. Diez Siglos Verdejo.

The vineyard and its origins

La Coma Alta. Planted in 1985.

Located on the Diez Siglos estate, this majestic Verdejo vineyard provided us with grapes steeped in history. Their age and character form the basis of this exceptional signature wine.

Oxidative ageing in demijohns under the sun

For 12 months, 120 glass demijohns held the wine, which was then transformed by exposure to the sun, wind and temperature fluctuations. This practice, traditional in Serrada, promotes slow, natural oxidation, with golden hues, aromatic complexity and structure.

Ageing in oak casks

After decanting, 24 months in barrels under the Jerez solera system consolidate the character of 1985. Here, the wine maintains continuity with the vintages that precede it; each barrel gives rise to a ‘mother’ that provides depth, liquid memory and an elegant and persistent profile.

Tribute to the historic wines of Serrada

Centuries ago, the southern region of the Duero was home to aged wines that were among the favourites of the court.
These wines—made from Verdejo grapes and aged in barrels using oxidative ageing techniques—are now considered gems of the region’s winemaking tradition.
1985 takes up that legacy, respects it and brings it to life with its own unique style.
